Smallbusiness.com Search is a narrowly-focused search engine that seeks out the best information and answers from a variety of sources, including:

• The User Contributors found throughout Smallbusiness.com.
• Web-based resources for small business owners and managers. The websites selected for inclusion in those results have not paid to be included in such results. In the future, if any such "sponsored" search results are included, it will be clearly marked.
• While not a part of the SmallBusiness.com search results, each page of SmallBusiness.com includes paid-advertising links that are in the left-hand column. These links are clearly marked "Ads by Google."

How to search

There are typically two search boxes on every page of SmallBusiness.com, at the top of the "center-well" and at the top of the left-hand column. (The redundant boxes appears because on certain pages, the center-well search does not appear.) Entering a search term in either box and clicking the Search button next to it will initiate a search and take you to a results page.

Future search plans

We are currently planning to add more and different types of search features to help you get to the specific information you need to help you make a small business decision. Look for announcements related to these in mid-2007.
