I added it by clicking on the "+" link next to the "edit" link above. Then I added the heading and message and clicked "Save page."

Where's the water cooler?

Hey Rex, I finally started working on my first article for the site. It's not much, but maybe some other people will want to contribute to it. BTW, is there a "water cooler" or "village pump" on here, i.e. a discussion page for random chit-chat? If not, maybe I'll create one. It seems the site could benefit from more social interaction between editors (not in person of course, god forbid). Cheers. Kaldari 17:15, 18 April 2006 (CDT)

I agree on the chatting place. I've set something up here. I'd like to set up some like they have on Taxalmanac.org.

Question from a contributor

New to wiki-ing. I am trying to add a page under New Jersey for Burlington County, and under Burlington County for the Burlington County Library System to highlight the free resources and services we provide for Burlington County Business. If you look at my history you will see my several attempts. My user page I am ok with, and I'm also ok with the last constribution consisting of a basic description of services. But: 1. How do I delete the earlier mistakes? 2. How do I create a subcategory for Burlington County under New Jersey and place my entry for the Burlington County Library under that? 3. How do I play in the Sandbox?

I went ahead and made a Burlington County page on our New Jersey local page. You can get to it by clicking on the NJ link on the main page. I also linked your Library page on the county page, complete with some formatting tweaks. Feel free to add more stuff to it - I just got it started. To answer you:
1. Just edit the page again and delete whatever text you want gone. You can also click on the History tab at the to of a page, click on a previous version and tell it to Rollback (I believe it will let you do this).
2. Just make a new entry and then place a link on any page by clicking on the edit tab. Those links above take you to a general help page, which gives you more or less all the tips you need to get started on adding stuff (hint-hint).
3. There are no rules in the Sandbox. Use it like you would a page you're working on, and you can test it there. Think of it like you're writing/drawing in an actual Sandbox...you can just wipe it clean at any point with no harm done - nothing's permanent. Well, nothing's permanent anyway, but you get the idea - it's a practice space.
